| ~ Description from Ritual of the Night |
Dullahammer Head is a recurring enemy in the Bloodstained series.
Appearances[]
Ritual of the Night[]
As its name implies, the Dullahammer Head is the severed head of a Dullahammer that now flies around as a separate entity. The monster itself is portrayed as a metal helmet that frequently opens and closes its visor, giving it the appearance of a chomping mouth. Within the helmet is a big eye instead of a head.
Dullahammer Heads are pesky enemies that infinitely spawn in great numbers in certain rooms, usually those where precise platforming is required. The rooms where they appear in may sometimes have spike pits or other environmental hazards, where bumping into a Dullahammer Head may result in the player falling into one of these traps and sustain heavy damage.
They drop the Dullahammer Helm, a rather unremarkable Head Armor that may only be useful in the very early parts of the game, although due to their great numbers, it is likely the player will end up collecting a large amount of them throughout the course of the game.
Dullahammer Heads also drop the Familiar: Dullahammer Head shard, which arguably is one of the most useful Familiars in the game. As such, if the player wants to use it as their main companion, it is possible to farm these enemies in the very first room they appear in, which due to their infinite spawning rate will already allow it to reach Grade 9. The first room inhabited by Dullahammer Heads is located in the Towers of Twin Dragons and can only first be entered after obtaining the Double Jump shard to access the previously unreachable ceiling exit in this area.
