An egg laid by a dragon.
Fetches good coin among gourmands.

The Dragon Egg is a food ingredient in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Availability[]

Dragon Eggs are dropped by Dragons (5%) and Abyssal Guardians (10% x2), "officially" making them ingredients you get at around the "halfway point" of the campaign; these monsters are ordinarily encountered for the first time in upper Livre Ex Machina, which is set up to require getting the Reflector Ray shard in the Underground Sorcery Lab. The Abyssal Guardian fought here is a "boss" that disappears once slain, but respawning Abyssal Guardians appear in the Den of Behemoths near the end of the game; one is by itself in a room near the Valefar boss fight.

Dragons and their eggs are among the many things that can be gotten out of order by using the Double Jump-based sequence break at the Dian Cécht Cathedral to reach its upper levels without the Reflector Ray, although it requires fighting through the Bloodless boss early to get into upper Livre Ex Machina "from behind". However, it is possible to get Dragon Eggs before even entering the Garden of Silence very early the game by fulfilling Lindsay's early quest to slay two Sabnocks, then submitting the rewarded Brigandine to Abigail for her third quest, then dismantling one of her three rewarded Chocolate Cakes.

Usage[]

Like almost all materials, Dragon Eggs are only useful for preparing food via Johannes's alchemy menu in Arvantville.

Dragon Eggs are one of the materials required for crafting:

Dragon Eggs are also required for crafting ingredients for the following:

Dragon Eggs are not used in any Shard enhancements. It takes at least 12 Dragon Eggs to craft everything in the game: 11 as base ingredients, and one more to create other ingredients.
