In Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and its sub-game Classic II: Dominique's Curse, Dominique Baldwin's main method of attack, besides her magic and martial arts, is a thin strip of blessed cloth, which she uses like a whip to hit her enemies.

Upgrades[]

During the course of Dominique's Curse, Dominique can purchase from the Merchants found in the various towns of Limbo two types of upgrades for her cloth strip:

  • Length: These upgrades increase the reach of the cloth strip, allowing to hit targets from farther away.
    • Tatters - The base length that Dominique starts with.
    • Bandage - "Wrappings to increase attack range.". Sold in Theurgia for 50 Coins.
    • Wrapping - "Wrappings to further increase attack range.". Sold in Paulina for 100 Coins.
    • Scroll - "Wrappings to increase attack range even further.". Sold in Almadel for 200 Coins.
    • Vellum - "Wrappings to increase attack range to maximum.". Sold in Notoria for 400 Coins.
  • Power: These upgrades increase the base attack power of the cloth strip, dealing more damage than before.
    • Ward - "A blessing, to increase attack power slightly.". Sold in Theurgia for 50 Coins.
    • Talisman - "A blessing, to increase attack power.". Sold in Paulina for 100 Coins.
    • Runes - "A blessing, to greatly increase attack power.". Sold in Goetia for 200 Coins.
    • Scripture - "A blessing, to significantly increase attack power.". Sold in Almadel for 400 Coins.
    • Black Powder - "Transform attack into a truly explosive strike.". Sold in Notoria for 600 Coins.

Once Valefar is defeated and the Skill Block Breaker‏‎ is retrieved, the strip of cloth becomes able to destroy certain, brittle blocks, which can be distinguished from the others either by their looks or with the help of the Passive Shard True Sight.
