Detective's Eye is a Passive Shard in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
When the Shard's effect is active, a green ring appears around Miriam. When any hidden breakable surface passes within the circle, a blue "cracked" graphic will appear over it to indicate its nature.
This Shard's Rank has no effect on its ability until Rank 9, upon which Detective's Eye also gains the ability to auto-collect items that enter the area of effect.
When it reaches Rank 9 there is no point in equipping the Passive Shard, as double-equipping Detective's Eye produces no additional effect.
Availability[]
- Dropped by:
- Seeker (4.00%)
Enhancements[]
Rank9: Auto-collect items in range.
Increasing the Shard's Grade increases the radius of the detection and auto-collect ability. This radius can be increased up to Grade 9; afterward, any additional Detective's Eye shards collected won't have any further effect.

Tips on gathering materials[]
- Toad Eye: Drops from Toad (8%) found in later Garden of Silence and then the east portion of Forbidden Underground Waterway.
- Sinister Eye: Drops from Poison Toad (5%) found in the upper outdoor screen of the west of the Towers of Twin Dragons, then throughout the Underground Sorcery Lab and Hidden Desert.
- Demon Eye: Drops from Seeker (10%) found in the western, post-Blood Steal portion of Forbidden Underground Waterway. Later drops from Giant Toad (12%) in Den of Behemoths.
Notes[]
- Once the auto-collect ability has been unlocked, most items dropped by enemies and candles can be collected in midair. However, coins must first have to let drop to the ground before they can be collected by the ring.

Trivia[]
- This gameplay mechanic is a direct allusion to Search Eye, a passive ability acquired by Soma Cruz in the Castlevania franchise.
