Curse of the Moon 2 Stage 2

Enchanting Deception, called The Sanguine Blade in Episode 2 and The Blue Rose in Episode EX, is the second stage in Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2.

Overview[]

This stage takes Zangetsu and his comrades through a jungle, traversing swamps and treetops, as well as the insides of giant trees. It features numerous plant and faerie enemies. The stages route split early on, where two skeletons point in opposite directions. Hachi can smash the crates to the left to reveal an alternate route through the stage. The stage culminates in a fight with the demon Lubius. In Episode 1, at the end of the battle, Zangetsu is reunited with his old comrade Robert, who joins the party.

Scattered throughout the stage are powerups: Two Mana Upgrades and one Health Upgrade. The first Mana Upgrade is only available in Episode 1, and is found by following the main route through the stage until you reach a skeleton pointing towards a cliff too high to jump to. By using Dominique to bounce off the skeleton, you can reach the doorway. Further down the route you will find the Mana Upgrade, which is only accessible by Dominique. In other Episodes, this Upgrade is replaced by other items. The second Upgrade is found by following the alternate route revealed by having Hachi smash the crates to the left early in the stage. following this route, the Upgrade is obvious, and can be reached with Robert, Miriam, Gebel, or Hachi. In Episode 2, this is a Mana Upgrade, but in Episode Final it is a Health Upgrade. The third powerup is found along the normal route through the stage, but can only be accessed using Gebel, by flying over a poisonous swap pit and through a narrow gap. Following this path will lead to a Mana Upgrade, which only Robert, Miriam, or Gebel and retrieve.
