A thick but smooth corn soup that hovers between a food and a drink.

Corn Chowder is a Food in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Availability[]

Corn Chowder is prepared through Johannes' alchemy menu in Arvantville, requiring Corn ×1, Potato ×1, Milk ×1, and Bread ×1. The first two ingredients require growing both a Corn Seed and a Potato Seed, and the Milk costs 280G. The Bread is bought for 200G after being first crafted from Flour ×1, Halite ×1, and Butter ×1, the first two ingredients of which are also store-bought. The Butter is yet another ingredient that has to be prepared at least once before it can be bought directly, requiring another Milk and another Halite to craft.

None of the above ingredients require random drops from enemies or discoveries beyond Arvantville, so aside from the time spent growing two separate seeds for their crop yields (both of them used in far fewer crafts than Rice), Corn Chowder can be considered an "easy" meal to prepare. In theory, it can be prepared before entering the castle. Once completed, pre-prepared duplicates of it can be bought for 450G.

Usage[]

Corn Chowder is a food consumable restoring 112 HP whenever used and giving a permanent bonus of +1 CON when first eaten. It is 124% more restorative and 125% more expensive than the Potion, while avoiding the 9-carry cap of the Potion itself.

Corn Chowder is also required for Susie's fourth quest as "Yellow Kernels", with an Apron as a reward.
