Stage 3 is the third stage in Classic Mode in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Overview[]
This stage is set in a courtyard in the upper portions of the castle. One of the most defining visual features is ivy-like plantlife that has grown around the stage; this does not affect gameplay but gives the area a similar aesthetic to the Garden of Silence from the main game. It begins in a partially overgrown hallway with an intact floor. The first enemies that the player encounters are Gusions and Bone Mortes, which jump down from raised platforms and tend to move quickly, making them dangerous if they are not attacked quickly. This initial room introduces yellow trapdoors that, when jumped onto, shake for a moment before they open and force anything on them to fall through.
A staircase leads the player to some scaffolding raised above the previous hallway, which is now a bottomless pit. The player must pass over it while they are assaulted by Scythe Mites, Bone Mortes, Dullahammer Heads and Ghosts, all of which can potentially knock the player into the abyss. Another set of stairs leads them to a long platform with a Cannon Morte on the other end. More Dullahammer Heads serve as a nuisance while the player should be careful not to jump onto the yellow trapdoor placed in front of the Cannon Morte.
A door after the Cannon Morte leads the player to more scaffolding similar to the earlier section, except that the threats now consist of Scythe Mites and a Gusion. The player continues down by taking a staircase near a Cannon Morte which stands ready to snipe them. The platforming continues on wider platforms where running Mortes frequently spawn from the ground.
More stairs lead up to scaffolding with thinner platforms and with many trapdoors placed throughout, some of which are brown and break outright when jumped on. There are no Scythe Mites here, but Dullahammer Heads, Ghosts, Bone Mortes and Cannon Mortes provide substantial threats nonetheless. The player climbs a staircase to a final test where they are forced to jump quickly on trapdoors in order to reach the inside of a tower. There they find a pair of Doppelgangers, one of which mimics Miriam herself and the other of which has assumed Zangetsu's form. They break out their glass tubes simultaneously and a boss battle ensues. After the player has touched the heart that comes down after the Doppelgangers' defeat, the floor gives way and the player falls down to castle's basement.

Trivia[]
- This stage is similar in several ways to Block 3 from Castlevania. Both are set in courtyards which the player slowly ascends from ground level until they are near the highest points of the castle. The player then fights two humanoid bosses at once; in Castlevania's case, these are the Mummy Men. After the battle, the floor gives way and the player falls down to the castle's basement. The level design and enemy placement are also similar, with a focus on platforming where the player must avoid enemies that can knock them into the abyss.
