The Cheesecake is a Food item in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Availability[]
Cheesecake is prepared through Johannes' alchemy menu in Arvantville, requiring 1 Cheese, 1 Heavy Cream, 1 Lemon, and 1 Cookies and also requiring Cake/R to be found in the upper reaches of Dian Cécht Cathedral (which officially requires Reflector Ray to reach, but Double Jump-kicking allows you to sequence-break to get this much earlier). After Cheesecake is first prepared, it will be sold at Dominique's supply post for 880G.
Cheese drops from Giant Rat (12%) and Lemon drops from Aello (4%), both within walking distance of the hub at Arvantville. Heavy Cream is crafted from a storebought Sugar and a Beast Milk dropped by Zagan (8%) in the later part of the Garden of Silence. Alternatively, you can get a set of five free Heavy Cream by completing Lindsay's midgame-tier quest, "Avenge the death of Dario!", by slaying 6 Ocypete in upper Dian Cécht Cathedral. Cookies is a stand-alone meal that can be bought for 400G after crafting one for 1 Butter, 1 Egg, 1 Flour, and 1 other Sugar, all bought at the store (and requiring Cookies/R to be picked up in the early part of Livre Ex Machina).
This all makes Cake/R officially the "latest-collected" component, and since that can be gotten right after the Double Jump shard through the aforementioned sequence-break instead of waiting until after you get Reflector Ray at Underground Sorcery Lab halfway through the game, Cheesecake can be crafted fairly early (another recipe unlocked by Cake/R, Strawberry Cake, can be crafted just as early).
Usage[]
Cheesecake is a food consumable, restoring 220 HP whenever used and giving a permanent bonus of +2 LCK when first eaten. It costs and restores 88% as much as the High Potion, and because it is a meal, up to 99 of it can be carried at a time.
Its +2 LCK bonus is quite desirable considering the nature of Bloodstained as a game where you constantly try to get items to drop from enemies, so you might want to consider Double Jump-kicking off the purple lanterns near the Reflector Ray path in the west bell tower of the Cathedral to collect Cake/R from its chest, even if you do not intend to complete the zone (if you manage to beat the area's Bloodless boss fight at this early stage of your development, however, you can then get into the upper reaches of Livre Ex Machina early and farm Dragons for their Dragon Eggs, which will let you prepare another +2 LCK recipe, the Chiffon Cake).
