The Chair Remnants are a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
Lower Livre Ex Machina features easily accessible Chair Mimics, which drop the Summon Chair conjure shard that can potentially be useful for regenerating MP. This function is improved by collecting more grades, whereas ranking it up only bestows a cosmetic function in that different types of chairs can be summoned, which largely makes devoting Chair Remnants into enhancing the shard's rank only worthwhile for novelty's sake. Eight Chair Remnants will be needed to add all chair variations, and the middle three ranks also require three Walnut (also dropped by the Chair Mimic) and the last two ranks also require two Mahogany (found in blue chests in Hidden Desert).
Two Chair Remnants are also used to reach the last two ranks of the Craftwork shard, improving its attack capability further. Very late in the game, when you can get the Petra Breath directional shard to drop from the Haagenti in the Oriental Sorcery Lab, you can elevate that all the way to Rank 9 with eight Gargoyle Stones, and reaching Ranks 5, 6, and 7 additionally takes one Chair Remnants each.

Only one enemy drops Chair Remnants: the Chair Mimic, who have a 5.00% chance to drop it on defeat. They are found in Livre Ex Machina and the Forbidden Underground Waterway; one can be found in the grinder room above the Livre Ex Machina teleporter.
Usage[]
Like almost all materials, Chair Remnants are only useful for crafting via Johannes' Alchemy menu in Arvantville.
Chair Remnants are required for enchanting the following Shards:

- Summon Chair Ranks 5, 6, 7 (×1 Chair Remnants, ×1 Walnut)
- Summon Chair Ranks 8, 9 (×1 Chair Remnants, ×1 Mahogany)
- Craftwork Ranks 8, 9 (×1 Chair Remnants)
- Petra Breath Ranks 5, 6, 7 (×1 Chair Remnants, ×1 Gargoyle Stone)
Chair Remnants are not used in any crafting recipes; therefore, it takes 13 Chair Remnants to enchant everything in the game.
