Black Pepper is a food ingredient in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

- Underground Sorcery Lab: Random drop from blue chests.
Black Pepper is one of a few ingredients that can only be found in blue chests, spawning in the Underground Sorcery Lab. One such chest is next to the Lab's entrance, with another chest two rooms to the left. Exiting and reentering the Lab will respawn the chests.
Usage[]
Like almost all materials, Black Pepper is only useful for preparing food via Johannes's alchemy menu in Arvantville.
Black Pepper is one of the materials required for preparing:
- Consommé (Black Pepper ×1, Beast Beef ×1, Moco Leek ×1, Halite ×1)
- Apple Risotto (Black Pepper ×1, Apple ×3, Rice ×3, Halite ×1)
- Forneus Meunière (Black Pepper ×1, Flour ×1, Forneus Filet ×1, Halite ×1)
- Chicken Sauté (Black Pepper ×2, Butter ×2, G-Bone Steak ×2, Halite ×1)
- Garlic Chicken (Black Pepper ×2, G-Bone Steak ×2, Garlic ×2, Halite ×2)
- Steak (Black Pepper ×1, Beast Beef ×2, Halite ×1, Butter ×1)
- Exquisite Steak (Black Pepper ×1, Flying Beef ×2, Halite ×1, Butter ×1)
Black Pepper is also required for preparing ingredients for the following:
- Omurice (Consommé ×1)
- Fish Hot Pot (Consommé ×1)
- Classic Spaghetti (Consommé ×1)
Black Pepper is not used in any Shard enhancements. It takes at least 11 Black Pepper to craft everything in the game (nine as a base ingredient, and two to craft other ingredients.
