A scarf that resembles bat wings.

The Bat Wings are a Scarf in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The Bat Wings are recommended to craft during the player's first visit to Arvantville. They give DEF +2, which is a slight upgrade over the player's currently collected Scarf and Tattered Scarf, but in addition they give INT +2, which will increase the player's magical damage output for the next early areas of the game.

Additionally, the Bat Wings will eventually be required by Abigail to complete her "In Memory of Morris" quest to receive in exchange three valuable Chocolate Cakes, which apart from permanently raising stats when first consumed, can also be dismantled for a couple of Dragon Eggs.

Availability[]

The Bat Wings are crafted with two very easy Materials found early in the game. The one Cotton you need for them will easily add itself to your inventory by virtue of it being a random reward in blue chests in the Galleon Minerva and the Entrance, and more drop from Moco Weeds in the early Garden of Silence. The two Small Webbings are very common drops from the Bats that line the early hallways of the Entrance and can be found even earlier in Arvantville. Bat Wings will only appear in Dominique's supply post for 800G once crafted for the first time.

Usage[]

A fairly easy-to-overlook method of "freely" getting two strong foods and their permanent bonuses very early in the game involves handing over one Bat Wings. Fulfilling Lindsay's early quest to slay two Sabnocks in the Entrance gets you an early Brigandine that you can then submit to Abigail for her third quest, which gets you three Pizzas. Then, you can submit a Bat Wings for her fourth quest to get three Chocolate Cakes. These foods grant CON +3 and LCK +2, respectively, which are useful bonuses to add to Miriam's collection of total Consumed bonuses before even entering the early Garden of Silence.
