Apple juice made the right way: by carefully selecting the best fruit.

The Apple Juice is a Drink item in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Availability[]

Apple Juice is prepared through Johannes' alchemy menu in Arvantville, requiring only Apple ×2 in what is easily the game's most straightforward recipe in terms of diversity of ingredients. However, it also requires Drink/R to be found in the upper part of Livre Ex Machina, reaching which requires the Reflector Ray shard to be earned at the Underground Sorcery Lab roughly halfway through the game. After Apple Juice is first prepared, it will be sold at Dominique's supply post for 300G.

Apples are exclusively dropped by the Ocypete at a rate of 8%. These are located in the upper portions of Dian Cécht Cathedral, which is set up to require getting the Reflector Ray shard; this means that both the Drink/R recipe book for Apple Juice and it sole ingredient are all but locked off behind completing Underground Sorcery Lab.

However, both the recipe book and the ingredients can be gotten through the sequence break in the Cathedral zone that allows the player to use the Double Jump (gotten earlier in lower Livre Ex Machina) to jump-kick off the purple lanterns near the west Reflector Ray panels. Ocypete can be farmed for its Apples early, but getting into upper Livre Ex Machina without Reflector Ray to reach the Drinks/R recipe book early will require beating the tough Bloodless boss early.

Usage[]

Apple Juice is a drink consumable, restoring 90 MP whenever used and giving a permanent bonus of 1 extra MP restored per second during MP Quickcharge state when first drunk. It costs and restores 60% as much as the High Ether, and because it is a drink, up to 99 of it can be carried at a time.

Because this is a recipe purely dependent on dropped items that you do not have to spend money amassing every time you want to craft the item, you can hypothetically spend a lot of time farming loads of Apples from Ocypete and converting them to Apple Juice at a 2:1 ratio, stocking your inventory with a lot of mid-strength Ether-style items. The Strawberry Au Lait is another drink you can start endlessly grinding out the ingredients for once you have gotten the Drink/R recipe book, and since that restores 150 MP, you might want to avoid spending too much effort farming Apples.
