Ammunition are rounds utilized by Firearms in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
All Firearms have a default Ammunition type which is unlimited and deals their base ATK score in Strike damage. However, the player can select different types of Ammunition for them which are more powerful, but not unlimited. Capacity pickups increase the maximum number of special bullets that can be carried at once. The early-level special Ammunition drops from enemies, but more exotic ammo has to be crafted with Recipes found in various locations.
The ability to fire rounds with various different effects makes Firearms an extremely flexible class of weapons, since a simple trip to the menu can allow a gun to switch to an elemental effect appropriate to any given enemy in a way not possible with any other weapon type. However, using special ammo is resource-intensive, particularly for the high-level types that require rarer ingredients.
Completing all of Susie's quest chain will reward an item called the Recycle Hat which prevents special Ammunition from being expended when fired; the only requirement is that Miriam has at least one round of the desired type in order for it to be selected.
